Guy Routzon founded the company, beginning with hardwood floor refinishing at Lowry Air Force Base.

Guy’s Floor Service entered a new era of growth

By building strong partnerships and supporting Colorado’s growing housing market, GFS has become the largest distributor of Crosset Royal Oak #1 Common Red Oak hardwood flooring west of the Mississippi.

Passing the torch to a new generation

Guy’s sons Ed and Joe Routzon take over ownership, becoming the second generation of Routzon’s to supply the finest products and services to Colorado homeowners.

Entering a new market

Guy’s sons establish a commercial division, positioning Guy’s Floor Service to diversify beyond single-family housing and weather fluctuations in the housing market.

A new headquarters

Guy’s Floor Service moves into a modern facility in the Denver’s Stapleton Business Park, cementing its role in what is now considered Colorado’s flooring epicenter.
